i hate people who are obsessed with chuck norris
you know what i hate? i hate how everyone is so obsessed with chuck norris now. he’s become some sort of cult god (or cult joke?) overnight, when really, he is just some karate guy that hasn’t been in anything good in a very long time (i liked “sidekicks,” but i’ll attribute that to my childhood affinity for jonathan brandis, not chuck norris). i’m actually confused as to whether people dig him because they think he’s cool, or because he’s a giant tool (rhyme intended). thanks to conan o’brien, people now realize that “walker texas ranger” is more of a comedy than a drama, but is that show even on still? and did anyone even watch it when it was on? the show is dead, the joke is dead, everyone that thinks they’re hip because they like chuck norris should follow suit and be dead. whoever finds more than 2 seconds of humor in www.chucknorrisfacts.com or, furthermore, sends these facts to anyone else because they think they’re doing everyone a huge favor (especially if you post it on www.myspace.com) is, in fact, just a huge tool… just like chuck norris.
in conclusion, chuck norris is not god, he is not that strong, he is not invincible, he is not attractive by human standards… and he is most certainly not worthy of becoming the pop culture phenomenon that he has become (even if conan disagrees).
